About Berth Work
I work with individuals navigating the threshold into motherhood in a deeply personalized way. This process is for those who recognize the transformational moment they're in and who want to be held and supported through to the other side.
While I'm trained as a doula, my work creates a holistic space for the vastness of what pregnancy, birth, and motherhood truly encompass. I'm here to offer emotional support and processing every step of the way—serving as both witness and reflection to the transformation you're experiencing, offering compassionate care and perspective along your path.
I'm here for those who are holding so much throughout this journey. Now I'm here to hold you.
My call to this work
I'm called to this work through my own lived experience. I believe birth, and the journey into motherhood deserve far more support than what's typically available. Instead, there's often silence, loneliness, and isolation around what should be one of life's most supported transitions. This life-changing experience is frequently viewed through a purely medical or physiological lens, but I'm here to hold all parts of your experience.
During my own early pregnancy, I was overwhelmed by fear about carrying to term. I felt like I didn't have the support I needed and didn't know where to begin looking for it. With a history of childhood trauma, I've always been deeply sensitive and knew that for such a profound experience, I felt like I needed a whole team of people around me to feel safe navigating to the other side. Yet this level of comprehensive support seemed elusive to me — I couldn’t find it in any obvious places.
When my pregnancy didn't come to term, I felt even more isolated in what I was experiencing. Everything was being held by my partner alone. I needed broader support, and I knew other women did too.
I'm inspired and invigorated to support women and their holistic wellbeing through all the unique phases and stages of this transformational journey.
My Values
-
Holding space for your whole experience
I believe that the journey through fertility, pregnancy, birth, and motherhood deserves tender, comprehensive care that honors both your physical and emotional needs. True support means creating a sacred container where you can express your fears, celebrate your joys, and process your experiences without judgment.
In our work together, care isn't just about offering solutions—it's about witnessing you fully, holding space for your complexity, and providing the kind of consistent, compassionate presence that allows for genuine healing and growth. You deserve to feel truly seen and supported through every wave of this transformative journey.
-
Knowledge that serves your intuition
Empowerment comes from understanding your options, trusting your body's wisdom, and making informed decisions that align with your values. I'm committed to sharing resources, insights, and practical knowledge that help you navigate this journey with confidence rather than fear.
Education in this space isn't about overwhelming you with information—it's about offering you the tools and understanding you need to trust yourself. Whether we're exploring birth options, processing fertility treatments, or understanding postpartum changes, my goal is to help you feel informed and empowered to make choices that feel right for your unique situation.
-
Your body, your journey, your decisions
Everyone’s path through fertility, pregnancy, and parenthood is unique, and you are the expert on your own experience. I honor your right to make decisions about your body, your birth, your family planning, and your healing journey without pressure or judgment.
My role is to support whatever choices feel aligned for you—whether that's pursuing fertility treatments, choosing your birth experience, deciding about breastfeeding, or any other aspect of your journey. There's no "right" way to do this, only your way. I'm here to help you feel confident in your choices and advocate for what you need.
-
Fighting for the support you deserve
I believe that access to comprehensive reproductive healthcare, emotional support, and informed choice should be available to all women, regardless of background, income, or circumstance. The current system often fails to provide adequate support for the full spectrum of reproductive experiences.
Through my work, I'm committed to creating more equitable access to birth support, advocating for better postpartum care, and challenging the silence around pregnancy loss and fertility struggles. This includes offering sliding scale options, fighting against stigma, and working to ensure that every woman has the support she needs to make empowered decisions about her reproductive health and family planning.
Reproductive justice means recognizing that your experiences—whether birth, loss, fertility challenges, or alternative paths to motherhood—all deserve recognition, support, and respect.
Training & Approach
I'm trained in and draw upon:
Somatic experiencing - helping you reconnect with your body's wisdom and process stored emotions and trauma
Yoga and prenatal yoga - supporting physical strength, flexibility, and mindful movement throughout your journey
Doula and birth work - providing continuous emotional, physical, and informational support during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum
Other modalities including theraputic breathwork, dreamwork, and energy healing
My approach is holistic, honoring both the physical and emotional aspects of your journey. I believe in meeting you exactly where you are, without judgment, and walking alongside you as you navigate this profound transformation. In practice, this means we work at your pace, following your body's cues and emotional needs. Sessions blend movement, breathwork, and conversation as feels right for you, while I help you build tools for self-regulation and nervous system support. Together we create rituals and practices that honor your unique experience, whether you're processing grief, preparing for birth, or adjusting to new motherhood.
My philosophy centers on the belief that your body holds innate wisdom about what it needs and that healing happens in relationship and safe connection. Every woman's journey deserves to be witnessed and honored, and I trust that small, consistent practices can create profound shifts. Most importantly, you are the expert on your own experience - I'm here to support and guide as you navigate these sacred waters.
